(Courtesy of Wednesday Night Bible Class) Tonight’s class reaffirmed what I have already been teaching my children from personal experience and the wisdom I have gained: Debt is sin. Yet another one of Satan’s tactics intended to devour you. We have to remember that Satan is cunning. He’s not going to be direct…it’s to easy for us to resist that way. He’ll use the backdoor approach [or a side window]. He won’t market debt as debt. He’ll disguise it with catch phrases like a “quick fix,” “vacation money,” “pre-approved,” “no credit check,” “bad credit okay,” “no credit welcomed,” “live your best life,” “YOLO” (you only live once), “build your credit,” “short-term,” “zero interest for 90 days,” and “buy now, pay later.” And the very moment you entertain the idea even a little bit, he knows he has you if he keeps working on it–maybe not right then, but definitely one day in the near future.
That’s why we are instructed by the scripture to just FLEE situations that could possibly create a debt. TURN AWAY and don’t look back. AVOID it all together. And if it’s too late, you’re already in it: GET OUT fast!!

God gave to those who served and in return, it was given (offered) back to God for the different offerings (grain, burnt, sin, and peace),
