I continued reading in Genesis (chapters 15-17). Yet, again, Abram [now Abraham (CH 17)] acts on God’s command without hesitation or delay…regardless of how uncomfortable the request to the flesh. Abraham responded the “self-same day” (17:23 & 26).
My takeaways: 1) To establish and then transfer generational “spiritual” wealth, parents must always lead from the front. And, 2) If children are mini imitators of their parents, then father Abraham’s example means I have work to do as it relates to my procrastination tendencies. I’m standing in the way of inherited blessings!

Who are we to reason with God? His thoughts are high above our thoughts.
Love the book of Genesis!
