I continued reading in Genesis (chapters 12-14). My takeaways: 1) True faith in God moves God to improve upon promises He’s already made to you. And 2) “true faith” is not only taking God at His word without hesitation, doubt or fear, but also obediently going wherever He sends without knowing any details beyond what He’s given you…even if it means leaving all you’ve come to know, love, and establish behind…with no questioning or second guessing along the way.
Personal question I had to ask myself: “Girl, how true is your faith?”
I continued reading in Genesis (chapters 15-17). My takeaway: If children are mini imitators of their parents, then father Abraham’s example means I have a lot of work still to do as it relates to my procrastination tendencies. I’m literally standing in the way of inherited blessings!
