1) There are times in our lives when we must make sacrifices.
2) God will provide.
3) It is amazing what having faith in God will do for you.
4) Fear God.
5) We should give God our all, and very best.
God will provide. Standing on God’s promises. He provided for Ishmael & Hagar n the desert. When they were sent away by Abraham. What an amazing God we serve.
I continued my reading in Exodus (Chapters 35-40). I wish there was some capture of the original tabernacle that we could see–not a drawing of it, but a photo of the actual finished product. The detailing of everything, even down to the beating gold into thin wires and weaving it through linen, all sounds so beautiful, and majestic (in the truest sense of the word). My mind is full , and I’m still sitting in awe imagining it’s glory–the cloud of God’s presence billowing above it during the day, and the fire of His presence blazing over it at night…
Amid all of the intricate details that were being imagined in my head as they were being taken in from the scriptures, I remember smiling and that smile just sitting on my face for an extended moment [when my focus left the details and noticed the grandeur of God’s people working together]. We reference the old covenant as being more about physically keeping the letter of the law and the new covenant more about the heart of man keeping the spirit of the law, but I just noticed that regardless:
1) the call is always to “those who will” (35:5),
2) the response will always be from those who are willing (35:21-22, 29),
3) and the result will always be more than enough to get the job done (36:5-6).
And THAT is a beautiful sight to behold, as well!
